Sphere is task chair which naturally fits a variety of body types. Using proprietary Okamura technology, the backrest and seat change shape to surround your body, naturally fitting the form of the user. We put a lot of effort into creating a seat that would become a workplace standard by not only offering a comfortable seat which envelops the user, but also by being environmentally friendly.
Smooth fitting arm
Arms with a rounded design allow for a comfortable posture when working with a tablet or smartphone. Provides soft elbow and arm support while using the device.
The smooth form gently envelops the body, and the back and seat are covered with upholstery to create a soft impression. In addition, by making it two-tone, it is possible to produce a more casual space.
Eco-friendly upholstery "Re:net"
For upholstery, we have a lineup of sustainable fabric "Re:net" developed by Okamura. “Lynet” is a knitted material that weaves “REAMIDE” recycled nylon yarn from used fishing nets in Japan and recycled PET yarn. By using Lynette, we contribute to reducing environmental impact.
Reclining Tension Adjustment
The dial under the seat on the right side adjust the reclining tension.
Seat height Adjustable
Adjustable the height within a range of 100mm by pulling the lever under the seat on the right.
Seat depth Adjustable
Adjustable the depth within a range of 50mm by operating the levers on both sides, while seated. Option without seat depth adjustment is also available.
Arms can be adjusted in four dimensions: height, depth, width, and angle-enabling the best elbow support for a range of tasks and devices.
Ankle Tilt Reclining
An ankle-tilt mechanism enables anyone to find his or her most comfortable reclining position. Using the ankle as a pivot point, this mechanism moves in sync with the seat, for greater support - stimulating variation in posture and relaxation, with uninterrupted comfort.
Multiple Density Cushion
Okamura's unique Multiple Density Cushion utilizes three types of urethane foam, of varying firmness, layered together, to promote healthy sitting. The cushion provides softer support at the front of the seat, reducing pressure on the thighs for improved circulation; denser cushioning at the back firmly supports the hips for stability and improved posture.
